Who We Are

Our Story

Indema was founded by Timothy Murenzi. Timothy started his interior design firm back in 2008 right before heading to College for interior design. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design from the International Academy of Design + Technology in Tampa Florida. While still in College, he began growing his client base and focusing on various projects to perfect his skill.

In 2013 after graduating College, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he continued to grow his design firm. In 2019, Timothy started to explore other areas of design. During this year, Timothy also started mentoring local designers where he learned a common issue: There was no ONE platform for the industry where systems were not disconnected.

Often Timothy would hear that existing solutions are “niched” or “tedious”. Why wasn’t there a solution that could help design firms manage everything more effectively under one centralized platform? It seemed “easy” but no one was doing it

So began indema. Our evolving answer to how interior design firms work more efficiently within one ecosystem. A collaborative, transparent, and effective way to manage your design firm and grow. Timothy welcomes you to the expanding community and help shape the journey we’re on to make managing a firm easier.

Core values that drive us.

As a company, we choose to base every decision on these core values, and everything we do is done with those values in mind. We never make decisions on emotions, our own opinions, or just “because”. We also make these decisions with our designers in mind and what would be best for the community.

Always Positivity

We approach things in a positive way while understanding all emotions are valid. We avoid non-constructive criticism. We assume the best of others, and we push through any artificial harmony to work towards a better environment, product, or concept.

We consider the bigger picture, knowing our work goes beyond who we are. We seek balance by taking into account multiple views and listening carefully. We advocate for diverse cultures and views to make our team and products stronger. We work to create an inclusive environment to build a better company and set a positive example for the world we live in.

Make Time To Reflect

We believe the act of introspection is where true learning adjustments originate. We approach discussions intentionally and think through all scenarios. We listen first and then listen more: seeking first to understand, then to be understood. We step back from the day-to-day and reflect on overall themes that will make an impact on our world, and designers.

We view transparency as a lifestyle of truth and honesty. We view transparency as a tool to help our designers. We share early in the decision process to avoid big issues or challenges later on.

Communicate With Clarity

We don’t make assumptions, and we ask questions to clarify. We ensure our customer understands us clearly to prevent confusion. We make sure that whatever we say, is carefully thought of before stated.

Doing The Right Thing

We always choose the right thing. It’s not about who is wrong or who is right. We ensure that our decisions are made on the basis of treating everyone equally. We embrace differences and understand we all have these differences.
